Our History

Over 40 Years Of Ministry

WCCC began in August of 1972 at Piper High School as a church plant from Stony Point Christian Church. We are a non-denominational Christian Church.  Larry Frew, formerly on staff at Stony Point Christian Church, was our first minister.

The 1970’s saw the congregation move to 13700 Leavenworth Road, buying and remodeling the old Brauer Elementary School building. The Brauer Building is still used today for baptisms, God’s storehouse, youth group garage sales, and other activities. Our second building was built in the early 2000’s and houses our sanctuary, classrooms, kitchen, and offices.

Jared Altic was hired in August 2000 and served alongside Larry until Larry’s retirement at the end of 2001.
